Catherine O’Mara (1951 - )
Huntsville artist Catherine O’Mara has been painting the Muskoka landscape using egg tempera (a classic painting technique that reached its peak in the Renaissance) for 25 years. Pairing this historical technique with an underlayer of plaster relief, Catherine creates luminous paintings, often in large format, that reflect the rhythms of nature.
