Doris McCarthy (1910-2010)
Born in Calgary, Doris attended The Ontario College of Art from 1926 until 1930. Having won many scholarships and prizes while a student, Doris became a teacher at Central Technical School, Toronto. She taught there from 1932 until she retired in 1972. Doris travelled extensively and her depictions of Canadian landscapes have been exhibited at The National Gallery of Canada, as well as the Art Gallery of Ontario.
