Kim Atlin graduated from the Ontario College of Art in 1988 having been awarded the prestigious Experimental Arts Faculty Association Award and recognized with other awards for her printmaking. After graduation she gravitated towards painting as her primary means of artistic expression. Kim dedicates her full time as an artist based, originally in Toronto, but more recently in Owen Sound and has participated in numerous juried exhibitions throughout her career including Perspectives Canada (2000) - a show of Canadian contemporary women painters. The primary inspiration of Kim's work has always been nature and her environs. The pandemic has shifted her focus to her more immediate surroundings following the general paradigm shift towards staying close to home in the past couple of years. Kim's work has been represented by numerous private galleries and widely collected nationally and internationally.
